The poker calendar is busier than ever. Praz has just come back from Romania for the WPT and in the next few weeks between us we’ll be going to Ireland, Connecticut, Vegas, Italy and Monte Carlo. Whilst travelling away is one of the perks of the job, it is sad that we often get to miss events back in the UK, such as the upcoming events at the GUKPT and UKIPT. The UK has a lot of young poker talent that it maybe doesn’t get credit for...

and these tours are great breeding grounds for these players. As Action Jack would say, there’s never been so much “flair” about.

Whilst looking at the schedule clashes with the guys recently, the idea came up that we should be staking a group of players in these UK events and whilst there were a few people’s names that came up I thought it would be an idea to have a more formal selection process and ultimately a proper “group” formed. The idea quickly snowballed into the group that has been tentatively named “The Poker Flair Pool”.  

At the moment the plan is to include all remaining GUKPT and UKIPT events in the schedule (including grand finals), as well as the London leg of the EPT (main and side events) and the WSOPE  main event that Praz and James both finalled last year. At the end of the year the best performing member of the group will become officially the 6^th member of the Hitsquad.

We are looking for 5 people (of any age) and each will be assigned a mentor. Without wanting to put too many details up on here, we won’t be looking for any type of % of winnings or make up, nor will there be any online play required, but just ask that you contribute to the new part of the site that will be up, and be available for various media opportunities.

A link to a Hendon mob profile or similar would be helpful but not essential. As we’re going away quite soon, and the next UK events are fastly approaching, I’d ask for all emails by the end of the day and then we can progress from there.
